What BASS does

BASS is a safety device developed by MBS Industry — founded in France by athletes Bassa and Micka Mawem alongside engineer Sébastien Kuehn.

The system connects to every auto-belay at the base of the wall. If a climber starts a route unclipped, it triggers an immediate 110dB audio and visual alarm. Stop. Clip in. Go.

The latest version also detects a second climber entering an occupied lane — a leading cause of serious incidents even among experienced climbers.

Compatible with all auto-belay brands and all wall profiles, no structural modification required.
