OUTDOOR CLIMBING TRAINING

MoonBoard
on a Lemur frame.

The precision reference in outdoor-style training, on the most reliable structure on a climbing wall.

Mounted on Lemur's precision-engineered adjustable climbing frame, it delivers fixed-angle training with 50,000+ community problems, tiny resin holds that mirror real rock, and two precision angles (25° or 40°) designed for outdoor progression.

Lemur builds the frame, the foundation every system mounts onto.

And you don't have to juggle suppliers: we can provide the complete Tension Board 2 package — frame, holds and LED kit — and coordinate the flooring through our international reseller network. One partner, one delivery, one install: fewer contacts, fewer delays, full accountability on the whole space.

MoonBoard, the first adjustable board.

HOW IT WORKS

The MoonBoard works in three layers:

  • the Lemur frame (2 available sizes)
  • the Moon LED climbing holds; marked and set for standard problems
  • the Moon Climbing app

Pick a problem in the app, find the marked holds on the wall. Outdoor-style boulders. Real climbing. No tech, no shortcuts   Moon Board fixed angles — 25° for moderate-angle outdoor progression, 40° for full power overhanging training. No adjustments, no excuses. Real outdoor-style climbing on the wall and precision climbing training.

WHAT SETS IT APART

Minuscule resin holds that mirror outdoor rock, two fixed angles built for outdoor progression, and a global community of climbers who track their ascents and beta-share on the exact same standardized board configuration worldwide.

  • 50,000+ outdoor-style problems, constantly graded and refined
  • Resin holds: small, technical, unforgiving — like real rock
  • Standardized globally — climb the same problem anywhere on earth
  • Deep community of climbers logging ascents and sharing beta
  • Multiple board sizes for home and gym installations

This is why climbers choose MoonBoard: the connected climbing wall for outdoor-pure training.

 ORIGINS

Born in Sheffield. Obsessed with progression.

Ben Moon built the first wooden training boards in the late 1980s at The School Room in Sheffield, England, frustrated with inadequate training facilities. That homemade wall became the blueprint for a revolution. Moon's philosophy: train how you climb — on small holds, steep angles, with precision. The first commercial MoonBoard arrived in 2005, built on Moon's own specifications.

 WHY MOON WITH LEMUR

Why Choose Moon Board on Lemur?

A MoonBoard is only as good as the frame holding it. The Lemur adjustable climbing frame is natively Moon-ready — and behind it sits a complete operation: integrated manufacturing in Montreal, precision engineering for fixed angles, and a single contact from quote to ongoing support.

COMPLETE TRAINING SPACE

A MoonBoard is just one piece.

A MoonBoard shines in a space designed for progression: fixed-angle power wall, a spray wall for dynamic movement, a campus board for lockoff strength, a conditioning zone. That's a Training Room — and it's exactly what Lemur builds, from first sketch to opening day.

YOUR QUESTIONS

MoonBoard FAQ

01 Can you switch systems after installation?

Not without replacing the climbing panels. Switching from a Kilter Board to another system requires new panels, holds and lighting components.

The main supporting frame can usually remain in place, but the conversion is still a significant installation. We recommend selecting the right system and layout before ordering.

02 How is it different from Kilter or Tension ?

Moon focuses on outdoor climbing simulation with fixed steep angles and tiny holds — ideal for climbers training for real rock. Tension emphasizes precision with wood holds and standardized layout. Kilter offers adjustability from vertical to overhanging. Lemur is compatible with all three — Moon is the choice for purist trainers.

03 Does the MoonBoard work in my country?

Yes. 100–240V power, with a cable supplied to local standards. We ship to 26 countries, with special arrangements in place so that European shipping costs are close to North American ones.

04 Which angle is right for me — 25° or 40°?

25° angle is better for beginners and climbers training for moderate-angle outdoor rock — still steep, still technical, but slightly more forgiving.

40° angle is the full Moon experience — unrelenting, power-focused, outdoor-true. Pros and committed climbers gravitate here. Most facilities choose 40° for maximum training intensity. The Lemur team helps you pick during your feasibility study based on your climbers' goals and experience level.

Lemur offer fix and adjustable walls for the moon board. Select the adjustable version and swap between the 2 anlges at a press of a button.
